We have touched down in Uganda and the journey has begun!

A journey of patience (especially when we queue outside Immigration Room 1 to be told we need a police check from Australia to stay for more than 30 days)…

A journey of prayer (which continues for the duration of a trip on the back of a boda boda – motorbike taxi – and we weave and honk our way through bustling Kampala.

A journey in a new culture (where car batteries are not kept in cars for sale – and when they do put one in they don’t start; and where phone shops have no advertising, no posters and no lists of deals just a salesman that apparently has it ‘all in his head’ but seems to be suffering from ‘amnesia’…

Yep, This Is Africa! (TIA)…

Heading up to Gulu tomorrow.
