students

This is our first lot of students to complete the agricultural course we have offered. We are really proud of the current bunch of students and hope this not only inspires them to continue growing and starting up a little business, but also inspire new students to come and start the course in August.

What are the main crops growing at present?

    • Hey Philip, nice to hear from you. The crops that we grow are all pretty local to the area (easy to source): tomatoes, aubergine, carrots, onions, watermelons, cabbages, green peppers and courgettes. We also have a 1/4 acre of maize and a good crop of sweet potato.

oh very cool:) who gets the produce at the end, just curious?

    • Hey Cassie, the students keep the lot. We have tried to do that as an incentive for them to look after the crops, but also so they can use the profit as a bit of a start-up for their own little business which we hope they will start after the course.

Those crops look great. What a good result, well done to everyone.
