“My father never allowed me to go to school. He said that in our culture, men would never marry an educated woman. But now I am so happy to be able to have the opportunity to learn to read and write. I am so excited that I now know how to hold a pen! I can write the letter a and m. And I am learning to read! Thank you for this opportunity!”

    • Yep, totally! There were a few stories like this, from both men and women. Although the men weren’t allowed to go to school because of financial reasons, forced to work in the village instead. xxx

    • These are the inspiring stories. The ones that keep you going. I don’t share the others on here… just cry to Dan until he tells me to get over it and toughen up πŸ™‚ Although my post today is one of those ones… not sure how to feel after today’s lesson πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing the journey with me El! xx
